Stephanie Marie Schneider Ashcraft, 90, of Pine Bluff, Arkansas went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, June 23, 2021.
She was born September 15, 1930, in Pohler, Czechoslovakia, to Emil and Marie Unzeitig Schneider.
She was raised Catholic in their village she grew up in. She was raised on a farm and her father was a shoemaker and her mother was a homemaker.
During WWII, her family was relocated to Germany when she was 13 years old. It was there that she met Daniel Ashcraft. They married in 1954 in Mannheim, Germany, and were married for 49 years.
She became a naturalized citizen of the U.S. in 1956 where she remained the rest of her life. She loved helping others. She was involved in the Jefferson County Extension Clubs, and at one time had her own ceramic shop. She was a long-time member of New Bethlehem Primitive Baptist Church. She loved canning foods, cooking, and gardening.
She traveled to many states while her husband was in the Army, making many life-long friends along the way.
Stephanie was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Daniel F. Ashcraft, Sr.; her parents; a grandchild, Patricia Hood; sisters, Hilde Siegl, Gerti Bundick; and a daughter in law, Becky Ashcraft.
Survivors include her daughter, Cynthia Ashcraft of Little Rock; sons, Steven Dale Ashcraft (Cindy) of Pine Bluff, Daniel F. Ashcraft, Jr. of Pine Bluff; a grandchild, Tim Farrell; a great-grandchild, Austin Farrell; a sister, Martha Waegele of Australia, and a brother Erwin Schneider of Germany.
Visitation will be Sunday, 2 to 4 p.m. at Fuller Hale-South Funeral Home.
Graveside service will be Monday, June 28, 2021, 10:00 a.m. at Brown Cemetery with Elder Paul Cayce officiating.
