Stephanie Hernandez Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Carnes Funeral Home - South Houston on Mar. 30, 2026.
Hello family and all loved ones,

Stephanie Graciela Hernandez, lovingly known as "Steph," passed away on February 21, 2026, in Houston, Texas, at the age of 34. Born on April 29, 1991, in Houston, Texas, Stephanie spent her life surrounded by the vibrant culture and community of her hometown.

Stephanie's educational journey began at Lucile Gregg Elementary School and continued through Hartman Middle School before she graduated from Cesar Chavez High School. These formative years were filled with learning and growth that shaped the remarkable woman she became.

A devoted mother to her beloved daughter, Victoria Alejandra Hernandez, Stephanie was a shining example of selflessness and unconditional love. She always placed her daughter's needs above her own and cherished every moment they shared together. Her nurturing spirit extended beyond her role as a mother; Stephanie had a welcoming demeanor that made everyone around her feel at ease. Her sense of humor was infectious, bringing warm smiles to those fortunate enough to have known her.

Music played a significant role in Stephanie's life. She found joy in both Spanish folk music and English rock, often sharing this passion with others through karaoke sessions where she encouraged everyone to join in the fun. The holidays were another special time for Stephanie-she had a unique ability to make them feel celebratory and magical for all who gathered with her.

Stephanie's faith was an integral part of her life. Her strong belief in God gave her a profound understanding that life is a precious gift not to be taken for granted. This faith guided her actions and brought comfort to those around her during challenging times.

Stephanie was predeceased by her brother Victor Antonio Hernandez and niece Melody Michelle Hernandez, whose memories she carried with love throughout her life. She is deeply missed by her daughter Victoria Alejandra Hernandez, her dearest friend Felipe Medrano, her family and loyal friends; in which will forever hold a special place in their hearts for her.

Though Stephanie has left this world far too soon, she will always be remembered as the family's loving baby-a source of light, laughter, and love whose legacy will endure in the hearts of all who knew her.

May Stephanie's memory bring comfort to those who mourn her passing and inspire us all to cherish the gift of life as she so beautifully did. A Funeral Service will be held on April 10th, 2026 (9:00 am) at Carnes Funeral Home 1102 Indiana Street, Houston, Tx 77587.

John 14:1-3 (NLT)

"Don't let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God, and trust also in me.

There is more than enough room in my Father's home. If this were not so, would I have told you that I am going to prepare a place for you?

When everything is ready, I will come and get you, so that you will always be with me where I am."
