Stephanie Rose Sheldon

Stephanie R. (Whitmore) Sheldon, age 54 of Frankford, DE passed away peacefully at home on Friday June 13th, 2025.
Born on December 29th, 1970, in Cheboygan, MI, Stephanie was the daughter of Bonita Gouine-Fowler and the late Harley Whitmore. Stephanie was a long-time resident of Cheboygan where she graduated from Cheboygan High School and later married the love of her life, Allen Sheldon, on May 25th, 1990. Stephanie and Allen eventually relocated to Delaware where they, alongside their 4 children, made a beautiful life together.
Stephanie a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend – was the heart and soul of her family. She took great pride in making sure her family was always taken care of and had a special gift for making those around her feel loved and cared for, always offering a listening ear, sound advice and guidance.
Prior to retirement, Stephanie held many positions at Beebe Healthcare, with the most recent being an EKG technician. She also enjoyed being a member of the Selbyville Elks Lodge. Her favorite job by far was being her children and grandchildren's biggest cheerleader and fiercest supporter.
She was proceeded in death by her father Harley Whitmore, mother in-law Marcella Stump and father in-law Orin William Sheldon.
Stephanie is survived by her loving husband of 35 years, Allen Sheldon; four children, David D. Sheldon Chase and husband Kyle of Port Charlotte, FL, Darren R. Sheldon of Cheboygan, MI, Jacquelyn J. Sheldon and fiancé Seth Parsons of Salisbury, MD, Catey Allman of Long Neck, DE ; mother Bonita Gouine-Fowler of Cheboygan, MI; bonus mother Jane Whitmore of Weeki Wachee, FL; four brothers, Harley Whitmore, Jr., David Fowler, Joseph Fowler, Jon Fowler; three sisters, Brandi Oikarinen, Dana Kilpatrick, Sheree Boda all of Northern Michigan; ten grandchildren Dominick Sheldon, Allen Sheldon Jr., Alex Sheldon, Leah Sheldon, Johnathan Parsons, Emily Parsons, Annabelle Parsons, Motley Sheldon, Isabella Sanchez and Giovanni Sanchez; and many beloved nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life will be held at 3:00 PM on Saturday June 28th, 2025, at the Selbyville Elks Lodge located at 13308 Worcester Hwy. Bishopville, MD. 21813. A celebration of life will be held at a later date in Northern MI.
In lieu of flowers, the family is asking for donations to help support Allen and Dominick during the difficult time. Donations may be made via Cash App to sheldon052590 or checks made payable to Allen Sheldon dropped off at the Selbyville Elks Lodge.
