Stephanie Wagner Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Bowling Funeral Home - London on Dec. 21, 2025.
Stephanie Marie Gaines Wagner, of Lexington, Kentucky, formerly of London, Kentucky, was born on July 26, 1973. She was the daughter of the late Gary Gaines and Deborah Sexton Lawson of London.

Stephanie is survived by her two loving children, Courtney Wagner (Micah Martin) of Red Bay, Alabama, and Nathan Wagner of Huntsville, Alabama; three siblings, Shawna Williams of Lexington, and Garry Gaines and Steven Gaines (Jennifer Williams), both of London; her stepmother, Betty Gaines of London; a special friend, Jerry Harrison; along with a host of other family and friends who mourn her passing.

Stephanie loved the Lord and lived her life with strong faith. She was a dedicated employee of Croley & Foley Law Firm, where she worked as a legal secretary. Stephanie had a joyful personality and loved shopping-especially online-she was a big time amazon girl. She had a fondness for all things blingy and flashy, believing the gaudier, the better. She especially loved Christmas and the happiness it brought to others, as well as sunflowers, flamingos, trips to the beach, and her beloved cats, Vegas and Sophie, whom she cherished like family.

Above all, Stephanie loved her family. She was a devoted mother, a loving daughter and sister, and a true friend to all who knew her. She will be deeply missed, but her beautiful spirit will continue to live on in the many lives she touched.

Stephanie Marie Gaines Wagner departed this life on Saturday, December 20, 2025, at the age of 52 years, 4 months, and 25 days.

The celebration of life of Stephanie Marie Gaines Wagner will be conducted at 3 pm Tuesday in the Bowling Funeral Home Chapel with Paul Baker and Bobby Helton officiating.

The family will receive friends beginning at 2 pm Tuesday until the service hour of 3 pm at Bowling Funeral Home.
