Stephanie Lee Wood, a loyal and loving daughter, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend, passed away May 19, 2024, after a long battle with many illnesses.
Stephanie was born February 18, 1973, in Andrews, TX., to William "Billy" Wood and Stephanie "Kay" Wood. Her momma and daddy were her world. Stephanie's family was the most important thing to her. She loved collecting pictures of her loved ones, especially of their babies. She enjoyed spending time visiting and socializing with those she loved and was quick to make friends with everyone she encountered. Stephanie's proudest moments were her many years of competing in the Special Olympics, were she won numerous Awards, Medals, and Trophies, and obtaining her diploma from Andrews High School class of 1992.
Stephanie's heart of gold is something her family will greatly miss. Her joyful laugh and infectious smile will be cherished for many years to come. Those left to cherish her memory are her mother: Stephanine "Kay" Wood of Andrews, TX., brothers: William "Tuffy" Wood and wife Candi of Mertzon, TX., and Richard Spence and wife Melinda of Goliad, TX., a nephew, 2 nieces, 2 great nieces, and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. She is preceded in death by her father: William "Billy" Wood, and grandparents: Helen Teague, and Bill and Hedy Price.
Family and friends will gather to celebrate her life at 2:00PM, Tuesday, May 21, 2024, at Grace Baptist Church with Pastor Jeff Chapman, and Pastor Jamie Beard officiating. Arrangements are under the personal Care of McNett Funeral Home.
