Her life was one of service to others, she taught Special Education at Linn Missouri and later at Farmington Missouri for nearly 18 years.
She was married to Harry Emmitt Sappington on September 6, 1986 in Jefferson City Missouri at Capital Christian Church. A miracle was given to them on November 24th, 1992 when they welcomed Hannah Elizabeth (Sappington) Lopez- Castro of Dodge City Kansas.
Stephanie is survived by Harry Sappington her husband of 38 years; her daughter Hannah Elizabeth Lopez-Castro. During this time Stephanie welcomed to the family three granddaughters; Emma Marie, Riley Belle, and Thea Rae Castro of Dodge City Kansas. A Brother Richard Yoakum of Omaha Nebraska; Two sisters Kathy Dugger of Richmond MO, and Jenny Jones of Sugar Creek MO. Stephanie also had many nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews. Her family, friends and former students who will greatly miss her.
Stephanie did many things in her life, teacher, wife, mother but most importantly she was a Christian that had a firm faith in Jesus Christ. As her family, we believe that she is now safely in the arms of Jesus.
Harry said, ""I will miss her and our many talks. We began by talking endlessly on many subjects and our familiarity grew into attraction and then love. Throughout our time together she was supportive and loving. I will never forget her. She lived our marriage vows "that what God has brought together let no man separate". Mark 10:9""
Visitation will be 10am, Saturday, November 9, 2024
A Celebration of Life will follow at 11am
