Stephen Frederick Blumer

Stephen Frederick Blumer was born September 4, 1952, in Ellendale, North Dakota. Stephen graduated from Ellendale High School and the University of North Dakota, Grand Forks. He was a member of the Sigma Chi fraternity.

His career in finance as a CPA led him to work with the March of Dimes in Minnesota and New York, the American Heart Association Minnesota, Treasure Island Casino, Analysts International, and as a financial consultant.

Stephen was an avid golfer, a lifelong Twins fan, and for years held Viking season tickets. He truly will be missed.

Stephen Frederick Blumer, 71 years old, of Edina, MN, passed away on Saturday, November 4, 2023, from natural causes.

Stephen is survived by his sister, Rebecca Hartness (David) Alexandria, MN; brothers, Mark Blumer (Shirley) Walcott, ND, Eric Blumer, (Deborah) Lakewood, CO; nephews and nieces, Sarah Breitzman (Jason), Jack and Miles Breitzman, Alexandria, MN, Jeffrey Hartness and Jaylin Hartness, Mankato, MN, Taylor Blumer, Fargo, ND, Emily Daube (Douglas), Alice and Liliana Daube, Bemidji, MN, Andrew Blumer, Edina, MN, David Blumer, Denver, CO. Stephen was preceded in death by his parents Boyd F Blumer and Janice E Blumer.

A Celebration of Stephen’s Life will be held in Alexandria, MN.

Interment will be Ellendale Cemetery, Ellendale, ND.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be sent to the American Heart Association.
