Stephen Buening Obituary
Stephen John Buening, born on June 13, 1945, in Denver, Colorado, passed away on December 26, 2024, in Topeka, Kansas.
Steve attended Valley Falls Schools. Throughout his life, he worked in a variety of sales positions. He was a certified Radio Announcer.
He enlisted in the Army Reserve and later went active with the United States Army. During his service in Vietnam, he was awarded with the Army Commendation Medal for heroism.
Steve is survived by his brother, Lawrence "Larry" (Vicki) Buening of Topeka, KS; his niece, Lindsey Buening of St. Louis, MO; and his nephew, Jason Buening of Manhattan, KS. He was preceded in death by his mother, Lua (Bumgardner) Buening; his father, Lawrence Buening; and his brother, James "Jim" Buening.
Cremation is planned and private services are pending.
