Stephen W. Burleson, 64, formerly of Covington, passed away 10:37 PM Saturday August 17, 2024 at Hickory Creek Health Care in Crawfordsville, Indiana.
Stephen was born August 13, 1960 in Williamsport, IN the son of George William and Martha Rose (Salts) Burleson; they have preceded him in death. He is also preceded in death by three sisters; Sherri Burleson, Lorri Burleson, and Lisa Shoaf. Also a nephew, William Todd Burleson.
Surviving family include a son, Michael Burleson, last known location of Christian County, KY; nieces Crystal Dawn Morris and Megan Ann Burleson both of Crawfordsville; nephews Thomas Wendell (Fiancé Carrie Mills) Burleson, Danville, IL; Jason Burleson, Crawfordsville; and several other nieces and nephews.
He graduated from Covington High School in 1980. He worked many years as a long haul truck driver; he had also been employed at various factories throughout his life. He was endlessly generous, to everyone that had the pleasure of meeting him, with his jokes, laughs, and tomfoolery. He enjoyed movies, country music, having meals with family, and being a friend and brother. He is deeply loved and missed heart and soul.
There will be no public services; he will be laid to rest next to his nephew and sister at Snoddy’s Coal Creek Cemetery near Stringtown, IN. A Celebration of Life will be held for Steve in the near future in Veedersburg, IN. Online condolences at www.dickersonfuneralhome.com
