Stephen P. Colantoni of Whitman passed away after a period of failing health on January 28th, 2024. He was 66.
Steve was born in Boston and moved to Brockton at a young age, where he grew up. He attended Southeastern Regional Vocational Technical High School where he was enrolled in the automotive program. He graduated in 1975 and began his career.
In 2005, he met Theresa Brangiforte at the shop while working on her car. They began dating soon after and were married in 2007. They settled together in Whitman where they built their home.
Steve and Theresa loved to travel, notably Alaska, Hawaii, Myrtle Beach, Disney and their favorite place, Aruba. He liked to fish and could often be found outside doing yardwork and playing with his dog, Dutch. He also loved to cook and watch cooking shows.
Steve will be remembered for his sense of humor (some would have called it "odd") and how you never quite knew if he was being serious or not. He will be missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
Stephen is predeceased by his parents, MSG Joseph Colantoni and Geraldine Colantoni (Collum), and his brother Sgt. Michael Colantoni. He was the loving husband of Theresa Colantoni (Brangiforte) of Whitman. Cherished father of Krystal Rogers and her husband Brian of Middleboro, and Angela Lauzon and her husband Lenny of East Bridgewater. Caring brother of Joseph Colantoni and his wife Nicole of Vermont. Doting "Papa" to Kobe, Adelyn, Kyrielle, Millie, Jax, and Isabella.
Relatives and friends are invited to visiting hours on Friday, February 2nd, 2024 at Chapman Funerals & Cremations, 35 Spring Street, East Bridgewater, MA 02333 from 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM. A funeral service will take place in the funeral home at 12:00 PM.
