Dear Stephen,
This is your "goofy" Aunt Peg. Doesn't seem possible that I am writing this letter to you. Your leaving has left a painful hole in my heart. There have been many memories through the years that I've shared with you & your wonderful family but 2 of my favorites are calling your home & you always answered the phone with such a chipper & cheerful voice. Just chatting with you always left a warm feeling in my heart. The other event that came to mind as I was thinking of writing this is the last in person visit I had with you, your dad & David. As you know we moved to Florida & the three of you were so very thoughtful to come for a visit before we left. I often thought about that visit & how it made my heart so happy, but little did I know it would be the last time I actually saw you. Yes, I have spoken to you several times on the phone since that visit but it just wasn't the same as in person visits. I know in my heart of hearts that you knew Jesus & are now rejoicing with your mom, grandma & pawpaw in heaven. That assurance of where you will be spending eternity does help the grief of losing you much too soon, because I know I will see you again. Please give each of those sweet, precious souls a hug from me & tell them I miss them and love them very much. Stephen, you will be missed by many but your aunt Peg will be at the top of that missing you list. Rest in peace Stephen and I do look forward to the blessed and happy reunion we will all have in glory.
