Moultonborough, NH ----Stephen Joseph Coughlin, Jr., 71, of Dennisport, MA and Moultonbough, NH, passed away peacefully after a long illness at his home in Moultonborough, with his loving wife by his side, on Tuesday, September 30, 2025.
Stephen was born on September 5, 1954, in Boston, MA, the son of Stephen Joseph Coughlin, Sr., and Catherine (Walsh) Coughlin.
He was a graduate of Norwood High School, class of 1972. His hobbies were bird watching, fishing, painting and boating. Stephen was a Big Foot enthusiast and an avid Boston sports fan.
Stephen passed in his NH home, where he enjoyed spending his summers with his family, extended family and friends. Family times were the best times to Stephen.
Stephen owned and operated Coughlin's Flower Shop, Dedham, MA for many years.
He is survived by his loving wife, of 38 years, Deborah (Murphy) Coughlin; son Matthew Coughlin and his wife Cindy of Maine; daughters Melissa Prakapas and her husband Eric of MA and Mariah Radzwill and her husband Joseph of RI; 8 grandchildren, Alexis, Emma, Eric, Jacob, Joseph, Jason, Spencer and Iyla; brothers Michael and Thomas Coughlin; sisters Donna Harris and her husband Richard and Karen Sansone and several nephews and nieces. In addition to his parents, Stephen was predeceased by his brother, John.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date in Moultonborough NH.
