Stephen Dickey, born June 12, 1962, passed away surrounded by the love of his family and friends on August 27, 2025, at the age of 63.

Stephen was a devoted husband, father, brother, and friend whose humor, and kindness touched the lives of all who knew him. He is survived by his adored wife of 26 years, Tracy, and their three amazing sons, Kevin, Andrew, and Jake, who were his greatest pride and joy. He is also survived by his beloved sister, Audrey Dickey-Baisley, and her husband, Michael with whom he had a lifelong bond. He is also survived by his sister Diane Rubino, sister in law Lisa, brother in law Felix, brother in law Tim as well as a niece Victoria and a nephew Matthew. His cherished puppies Shea and Betty were a great source of joy for Steve. Stephen was predeceased by his loving parents, James Dickey and Ellen McCann Dickey.

Steve was born in Brooklyn and raised in Bardonia NY where he attended Clarkstown South High School graduating in 1980. While in high school Steve played football and baseball. After graduation, Steve entered into the service industry. He worked in several restaurants Including Steak and Stein, Company B's, The Pearl River Saloon and Brady's at the Station. His generosity and quick sense of humor made him popular with the customers and his fellow servers. He was everyone's best friend. He was an extraordinary bartender, the best in the business and many shot glasses of Tully will be raised in his honor.

He was a lifelong diehard Mets and Jets fan. He attended all the games he could and rooted beyond hope that this would be their year. Half of his wardrobe was in support of his teams. He took his love of sports to the little league and football fields to coach his sons. He was a gentle and kind influence on many young men.

A favorite destination was Atlantic City. where he was able to enjoy the beach and the casinos with his friends. As much as Steve enjoyed the beach you would often find him under an umbrella with a t-shirt over his head. He loved the excitement of almost winning. He had a love for fine dining and enjoyed it best when shared with his friends and family.

He will be severely missed and fondly remembered by all that knew him.

In lieu of flowers, the family invites you to make a donation to Tunnel to Towers in Steve's memory-a cause close to his heart.

So sad to hear that Steve has passed. We always loved his banter at Brady's. He always talked about his family and everyone loved him. Such a fun guy to be around. Our condolences to his family.
