Stephen W. Dimmick, age 81 of Columbia City, IN, passed away at 11:03 am on Friday March 28, 2025, at his residence. Born on June 24, 1943, in Fort Wayne, IN, he was the son of DeWayne V. and Etta Pauline (Judd) Dimmick.
Stephen attended Columbia City Joint High School and graduated with the Class of 1960. On August 23, 1960, he married Carol Kimmel in Columbia City. Stephen worked for Dana Corporation, Fort Wayne as a machinist for over 38 years, until his retirement in 2002. He enjoyed fishing, camping, shooting guns, and was an avid I.U. Basketball fan.
Survivors include his daughters Debbie (Doug) DeWitt and Denise (Jimmy) Martinez, both of Columbia City; 6 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father DeWayne Dimmick, mother Etta Pauline Fisher, son Curtis Dimmick, and wife Carol Dimmick.
Funeral services for Stephen will be held at 4:00 pm on Tuesday April 1, 2025, at DeMoney Grimes Funeral Home, 600 Countryside Drive, Columbia City, where friends may call from 2:00-4:00 pm prior to service.
Memorial contributions in memory of Stephen may be made to Cancer Services of Northeast Indiana.
