Stephen Franks Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Memorial Park Funeral Home South, Flowery Branch on Dec. 18, 2025.
Mr. Stephen Lucas "Luke" Franks, age 44 of Flowery Branch, passed away on Thursday, December 11, 2025.

Luke was born December 31, 1980 to Ralph Stephen "Steve" Franks and Linda Scarborough Franks, in Decatur, Georgia.

Luke was full of life, albeit, a bit mischievous, as he was always into something as a boy. His big grin could light up a room, and he loved to make others laugh. Luke deeply loved his family and his friends, and was fiercely loyal. He never met a stranger and would have given you the shirt off of his back. He was a dog lover, a man of faith, took pride in his work, and was so very proud of all of his nieces and nephews. His work ethic was impeccable and he was so proud to be a marine, and later graduate with an undergraduate degree in business. He was a gifted writer, a lover of the water, an amazing gift giver, a decent dancer, a gentleman, and had the ability to make you feel seen. He was loved and he will be missed.

Luke is preceded in death by his loving Mom and Dad. Luke is survived by Alyssa Martin (partner); Debbie Franks (step-mom); Doug Baxter (step-dad); siblings and their spouses and children, Laura Powell (Audrey and Abram Powell); Leah King (Brandon King and Hartley, Hadley, and Aiken King); Sean Holland; Justin Holland (Faria Holland and Maryam and Emmie Holland); Stefanie Murphy (Ryan Murphy and Liam, Holland, and Grace Murphy); Aunts and Uncles Barry and Melissa Jones; Ricky and Francie Vann; Curt and Sloan Scarborough; Pete and Julie Scarborough; twelve first cousins and twenty-nine second cousins; and an army of friends.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, January 10, 2026 at 2 p.m. at Monroe First Methodist Church, 400 S. Broad Street, Monroe, Georgia 30655.
