Stephen Austin Harford Obituary
April 23, 1989 – February 9, 2024
Stephen Austin Harford, 34, passed away on February 9, 2024 in Nashville, Tennessee. He was born in Tampa, Florida and was a source of laughter, music, Gator pride, and endless creative projects. He walked through his life as an exuberant son, stepson, grandson (Baby Bunny Rabbit), nephew, cousin and loving brother and step-brother. He gave everyone his larger than life hugs.
He graduated from Middle Tennessee State University in 2012 with a Bachelors Degree in Public Administration, and was a member of the Sigma Phi Epselon fraternity. He enjoyed designing games, hiking, karaoke, dancing, travel, and has many fond memories of marching band at Gallatin High School. He graduated from Gallatin High School in 2007and received the following awards: 2006 University of Tennessee School of Music Honors Festival, All Mid-State Band, 2006 Tennessee American Legion Boys State, Varsity Band award for Outstanding Achievement, University of Texas recognition for Excellence in Gillette Economics for Leaders, All County Band, First place in Algebra at Vol State as a sophomore and won Social Studies student of the year as a senior. First Baptist Church of Hendersonville was his home church where Stephen enjoyed youth choir, mission trips and rafting :)
Stephen is survived by his Mother and Step-Father, Carolyn and Ross Macdonald, brother, Grant Harford, Father, Stan Harford, Step-Sister, Megan Shaffer (Jeremy), Step-Brother Matt Macdonald (Kelly), Uncles: David Williams (Jane), Ken Macdonald, Aunts: Susan Troth (Rick), Jane Lewis (Bobby), Jo Garver (Mike), Kiyoe Macdonald, Debbie Harford Billett and many cousins.
He was preceded in death by his Grandparents, Mac and Joyce Williams, Norman and Alice Macdonald, George and Ruth Harford and Uncles, Dr. Ronney Plemons and Norman Macdonald
Services will be Saturday, February 17 in the Chapel at First Baptist Church of Hendersonville with visitation at 9:00 am and the service at 10:00 am. Internment will be at Crestview Memorial Gardens, Gallatin. Flowers can be ordered from Mattie Lou’s Flower & Gift Shop in Gallatin or donations can be made to First Baptist Church Hendersonville for the Celebrate Recovery ministry in Stephen’s memory.
