Stephen E. Hart

Stephen Ernest Hart, 69, died December 12, 2022 after a short illness. He was born September 3, 1953
in Tompkins County, Ithaca, NY and resided in Newfield, New York at the time of his death. He
graduated from Ithaca High School in 1971. He was predeceased by his parents, Ernest L Hart Jr, and
Elizabeth Jane Gates Hart, and brother Charles W. Hart, Grandparents, Loyal and Lydia Gates and Ernest
L. Hart Sr, and Edith Hart. He leaves behind his daughter, Ivy Jayne Ninofranco (John) and, 3
grandchildren, Audrey, Emmeline, and Kenley of Anaheim,CA, sisters Ann Hart and Carol Hart-Rickel
(Earl) of Charlotte, North Carolina, and a brother Gregory Hart (Cheryl) of Salem, Indiana, 11 nieces and
nephews, and several cousins. He worked mostly as an independent contractor and business owner
having created an antique and estate cleaning business called Junk Man to the Rescue. He lived many
years in Hawaii and California before returning to Ithaca. He also previously worked as a custodian at
Ithaca High School and a professional home painter. Stephen was a dog lover and always had one by his
side, most recently Lu Lu. Memorial Contributions can be made to the Ithaca SPCA. Services will be
private in the Spring 2023, and he will be buried at Green Hills Cemetery, Dryden, New York.
