Steve was born in 1948 in Raleigh, NC to Henry Lewis and Marie Theresa (née Butt) and grew up in Norfolk, VA. He was the oldest of eight children. He received a BA in English and Philosophy from Old Dominion University and served in the US Army 82nd Airborne Division, which gave him great pride all his life. His last full time position was director of Logistics Information at Kraft-Heinz. After retiring, he helped his wife with her small business, Enchanted Chocolate.
He was preceded in death by his brother David and his sister Lisa. He is survived by his spouse, Donna (née McBride), two daughters, Stephanie and Cassie, and five siblings: Michael, Karen, Tommy, Kathy, and Laura.
All arrangements are under the direction of the Cochran Funeral Home, 905 High Street Hackettstown, NJ 07840
