Stephen R. Kline
August 23, 1948 – September 13, 2025
Stephen Randall Kline, beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully on September 13, 2025, in Broomfield, Colorado. He was 77 years old.
Born in Joplin, Missouri, on August 23, 1948, Steve grew up with a deep sense of duty and creativity that would shape his life. In May 1969, he married the love of his life, Sally, who he met in college. Together for 56 years, they built a life rooted in love, resilience, and shared purpose, as they raised two children, Kris Kline and Sarah Jaramillo.
Steve proudly served his country in the Army and was a Vietnam veteran, a chapter of his life that remained close to his heart. His patriotism and dedication were evident in all he did. He was an active and life member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars.
After completing his military service, he and his family moved in 1973 to Nebraska City, Nebraska, where he worked as a salesman. In 1988, Steve and Sally moved their family again, settling in Broomfield, Colorado, a place he cherished and called home. Professionally, he was a passionate financial advisor, known for his integrity and unwavering commitment to his clients.
Beyond his career, Steve was a gifted artist. His talent spanned multiple media-sculpture, painting, music, and more-each piece reflecting his unique perspective and soulful expression. His art touched many and will remain a lasting testament to his creativity.
He was a proud father-in-law to Susan Kline and Donald Jaramillo, a grandfather to five grandchildren, Joshua Kline, Robin Kline, Kaylie Kline, Tess Jaramillo, and Dashel Jaramillo, and a great-grandfather to Bodhi Pierce. His legacy lives on in the lives he shaped and the quiet devotion he showed in his own way.
Steve will be deeply missed by all who knew him, but his spirit will continue to inspire those he loved.
