Stephen Mark Koster

Stephen Mark Koster, age 70, of Lake City, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, June 2, 2025. He was born in Erie on May 4, 1955, a son of the late Edward H. Koster, Sr. and Helen (Sosinski) Koster.
Stephen worked at Rehrig Pacific as a machinist.
To find Stephen, all you had to do was follow the music. Live music was the thread that bound his life together. He spent many great weekends running sound for local bands such as Easy & Rhythm Method. In his retirement, he would spend his time refurbishing and repairing old speakers and turntables. He could fix or tinker on anything & everything and loved giving things new life.
Despite being an Erie Native, Stephen was a lifelong, dedicated Cleveland sports fan and refused to apologize for it. His youngest daughter has already taken up the mantle of screaming at the TV during a Browns game.
Stephen was particular and private but cared deeply for those around him, especially when it came to his two girls. He was a kind, attentive father and would drop everything in a heartbeat to help his daughters. He was filled with kind gestures and consideration for his family, finding little ways to surprise and care for them no matter what he was going through himself. He will be remembered by those three great loves; Music, Sports, and most importantly - his Family.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Robert Koster, Michael Koster and Linda Borelli.
He is survived by his two daughters, Lorissa J. Anderson and Julianna M. Anderson; siblings, Edward Koster, Jr., wife Mary Joan, Patricia Rafalowski, husband David, Karen Tellers, husband Stephen, Michele Buterbaugh, husband David and Roberta Paradise, husband Edward; a brother-in-law James Borelli and many nieces and nephews.
