I remember in junior high walking in the Laiche kitchen with Jimmy and Stephen was blending some healthy drink concoction with a raw egg and he loudly stated "This will make your hair grow!" Today, I look into the mirror. I should have listened. Rest In Peace wise friend.

Stephen Laiche, truly a good friend of mine. First met him from the cycling community here on the western slope. Along with Nordic skiing on the Grand Mesa. Always a pleasure to talk to. Stephen and his law firm also supported me, along with Greg Coren from G&G Medical with my cycling endeavors which I so much appreciated. I just wish I could of done more for him. I will miss his stories and his jolly since of humor. He used to have me laughing so hard I required my inhaler to catch my breath. Thank you Stephen Laiche for all the life experiences. Your friend, Scott Hill

Steve nicknamed me "Brains." We worked across the hall from each other when I was with United Way. I had the honor and privilege to watch his journey for over 30 years.

He would help me through many family challenges, without charging me a cent. With Terry, my daughter and me, truly heaven sent. I witnessed him swell with pride, when all of his children were born. He is, and will always be, one of a kind! I will forever miss you Steve. Thank you for always believing in me. Brains

I met Steve when he moved to Colorado from Louisiana. He was a deputy attorney general in Louisiana. He started in Grand Junction at the Mesa County District Attorney´s office - he did good work. His private practice was highly regarded for quality work. Steve and I worked on many cases together as co-counsel. We became friends over the years and helped each other with legal and personal matters. He was a special help when I went through a rough personal time, always available, always candid, always sensible. I miss him.

We met Steve when he was with the DA. Steve would come into Rite Aid and insisted I would be his personal shopper. We would shop and laugh. Then he would hug and kiss my head and say in his southern drawl be good and let´s have a drink. Tell

Steve was an awesome friend and neighbor. We will miss him so much! We loved when he came over shared stories with us and made us laugh. Everytime he drove by he would honk and we would say, wave to Steve! We will greatly missed his friendship! Our hearts go out to the family!

I am stunned and saddened to learn of Steve's passing. He and I worked together on a number of legal matters, from homicide to bank fraud, and I found him to be the brightest and most hard-working attorney that I was ever associated with. He was the consummate gentleman with Louisiana charm that went a long way with jurors and judges. One of a kind.
