Stephen Alan "Stevie" Lent

Stephen "Stevie" Alan Lent, 70, son of Walter Eugene and Mary Christine (Burns) Lent, passed away suddenly at his home in Jamaica, Iowa on Friday, December 20, 2025.
He was born in Portsmouth, New Hampshire on March 11, 1955. He graduated from Portsmouth High School in 1974. Following high school, he started a career in security and then went on to spend many years at Foss Manufacturing in Hampton, New Hampshire and then the Tyson Plant in Perry, Iowa.
He was a lover of Moe's subs, an avid Jeff Gordon fan and staunch supporter of New England sports- even from Iowa. He loved to collect things; be it baseball cards, Jeff Gordon items or coins, and was always looking to grow his collections. Although he called Iowa home for the last 20+ years, his heart has always been in New Hampshire.
Full of sarcasm, stubborness and quick wit, he lived life on his own terms until his last breath. Despite his struggles, he loved his girls and grandkids very much.
He is survived by his daughters, Darla and Abigail; two grandsons and two granddaughters, all of New Hampshire. He is also survived by his siblings, Marsha (and her family) and Tommy (and his family), and many nieces and nephews. Lastly, he leaves behind 3 very special people in Iowa; Susie, Nick, and Aaron.
He was preceded in death by his beloved parents, brother (and best friend) Jeffrey and his precious grandchildren, Avery and Jaide.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to help her with this sudden and tragic loss. It will cover funeral expenses, apartment clean out and finally bringing him home.
