Stephen Ralph McKinney, 75, of Fayetteville, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Saturday, March 29, 2025 at St. Mary's Hospital after an extended illness.
Born October 31, 1949, in Beckley, he was the son of the late Horace and Christine Mary (Hankins) McKinney.
Stephen was a retired business owner of SR Mac's Furniture and Carpet. He was a lifetime member of the Amigo Missionary Baptist Church.
In addition to his parents, he is also preceded in death by his sister, Barbara Sue Hardy.
Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of 53 years, Cheryl Lynne McKinney; his daughters, Amy Dawn (JT) Schwarz and Beth Ann McKinney both of Oak Hill; his grandchildren, Kaleigh and Jacob Schwarz of Oak Hill; brother-in-law, Kenneth Hardy of Amigo; niece, Stacy (Bryan) Cozort of Amigo; nephew, Ryan (Paula) Cook of Stephenson; and great nieces, Christian and Gracie Cozort of Amigo. Stephen will be missed at nap time by his canine companion, Sadie.
Graveside service and entombment will be 1:00 P.M., Friday, April 4, 2025 at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens Mausoleum 4, Beckley with Pastor Curtis England officiating.
For those wishing to attend the graveside service are asked to meet at the cemetery.
