Stephen Leslie Moore

Stephen Leslie Moore passed away Saturday, June 15, 2024 at his home in Lawrence, Kansas. He was born in Vinita, Oklahoma on October 23, 1942 to Lester Paul Moore and Mary Jane Scott Moore. He enjoyed a life marked by fortunate timing and boundless optimism, even enjoying one last Master's Golf tournament before his gentle passing. Stephen was a proud Petroleum Engineer, earning his degree from the University of Texas at Austin before spending a long career in the oil fields of Texas, Oklahoma, Kansas, and even points abroad.
Stephen (Steve) was preceded in death by his parents Lester and Mary Jane, brother Stan Moore, sister Meredith Moore, sister Kaye Davenport, and former spouses Mary Sandra Hagens and Carolyn Lee Moore. He is survived by his children, Stephen Paul Hagens (Ingleside, Texas); Sam Moore (Manhattan, Kansas); Travis Moore (Kansas City, Missouri); and Meredith Moore (Lawrence, Kansas), their spouses, ten grandchildren, and by his many tall tales.
A graveside service and inurnment will be held at Seaside Memorial Park Cemetery (4357 Ocean Drive, Corpus Christi, TX) on Saturday, May 31st, 2025, at 2:30pm. Family and Friends are invited to attend.
