Stephen dedicated his life to education and intellectual pursuit, serving as a beloved Professor of Mathematics at Northern Kentucky University for 50 years. He inspired generations of students with his deep knowledge, steady guidance, and passion for learning.
Outside the classroom, Stephen was an avid runner who embraced both discipline and joy in the sport. He proudly participated in the Boston Marathon and Cincinnati's Flying Pig Marathon, achievements that reflected his enduring spirit and commitment to personal challenge.
Stephen cherished time spent with his family, especially during holidays with his sister Betsy and her family. His quiet humor, generous heart, and thoughtful presence will be deeply missed.
He is survived by his brother, John (Sharon) Newman; sister, Betsy (Peter) Frame; nephews, Michael (Annalucinda) Newman and David (Elizabeth) Frame; nieces, Bethany Frame, Diana Frame, and Lisa (Jeff) Rubin; great-nephew, Henry Frame; and great-nieces, Brooke Rubin, Quinn Rubin, and Lucy Frame.

Stephen's legacy will live on in the lives he touched, the students he taught, and the family who loved him dearly.
