Stephen was born in Boston and raised in Rockland MA. Graduating from Rockland High School in 1989.
He is survived by his son, Alexander Young of Randolph, MA. Brother of James A. O'Rourke of Abington, Brian P. O'Rourke of Hawaii, and Shannon M. Capone of Hull. His nephews Devin and Brett Capone and niece Emma O'Rourke, many aunts, uncles, cousins, and countless friends.
Stephen was a long-time employee of East Jordan Iron Works (formally LeBaron Foundry) in Brockton, MA. Throughout his 27-year career he steadily moved up the ranks and made many lasting friendships.
Stephen was a lover of Boston sports, specifically the Red Sox and Bruins, he never missed an opportunity to catch a game at Fenway or the Garden. An avid fisherman, if he wasn't on the back of a boat, he was at the local pond. He also played darts for many years, travelling to play in competitions and made many friends along the way.
Dobermans held a special place in his heart. Maximus "Max,"his loyal companion, wherever Stephen was, Max was right alongside him. He was predeceased by his "girls" Shady and Carly, whom he loved dearly.
Stephen was an incredible person and will be missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
Celebration of Life to be announced at a later date. Services will be private.

Too many memories to list...the parties in the woods, Echo Mountain Boys, BMB (bad move Bam). The Lang...running from C I Doppers..."Don't deny, Let buy" cruisin' around in the tub. Joe Dropoffski. Venture Tape..Out of Area...Sodo-Burgers on the hill. K.O.S. Tommy C and shaker madness..mumyana. SOSMMA (and now there are two).

Someone who has been such a huge part of my life....lived at my house for a while growing up.....All the good times ....for a long time you wouldn't find me without finding him and vice-versa....we even created our own language..So we could communicate incognito....Thank you for being my friend....you have changed my life for the better..And I'll always keep the thousands of memories....that now have shaped me for a lifetime....wish I could sit down and share a T.O.G with you.....I'll always have those Tales of Glory to tell about you.....Cabin Fever ,Hobart go left,Phil plantier,Bologna,Milton Bradley,the Slab,shaker cup madness ,I could go on and on ....C U WEN I GET THERE....if I get there (lost my way for a few but left booze behind in 07) or I'd be gone along time ago....hope it wasn't wat got u but it don't matter...we all get something in the end
