In Orange, July 24, 2014, Stephen David Rubelman, 89, of Indian River Rd., husband of the late Helen Ritzert Rubelman. Survived by his children, Virginia Anderson and her husband Steven of North Andover, MA, David Rubelmann and his wife Annette of Orange, Nancy Wargo and her husband George of Norwalk, Cindy DeNitto and her husband Joseph of Orange; his grandchildren, Kimberly and Jeffrey Anderson, Mark, Greg and Adam Rubelmann, Nick and Katie Wargo, Michael and Michele DeNitto and great-grandsons Eli and Noah Rubelmann. Stephen was born in New Haven, Dec. 10, 1924, son of the late Stephen H. and Emma Munze Rubelman. Mr. Rubelman was a commercial artist and owned R & R Art Production Services, Inc. of Milford. A graduate of the Bullard Haven Technical School, he had served in the U.S. Marine Corp during WW II. He was also a Captain of the West Haven Auxiliary Police and a member of the Orange Congregational Church. The family would like to express their gratitude for the compassionate care provided by the staff at Maplewood of Orange, VITAS and his longtime caregiver and friend Valerie McGriff. Friends may call on Sunday, July 27 from 4 – 8 p.m. at BEECHER & BENNETT-TAYLOR FUNERAL HOME, 410 Campbell Ave., West Haven. Funeral service is on Monday at 10 a.m. at the Orange Congregational Church. Interment with Military Honors in Evergreen Cemetery, New Haven. Donations may be made to Alzheimer's Association of CT, www.alz.org/ct , and the Orange Congregational Church, www.orangecongregationalchurch.org
