Stephen Savage Obituary

Published by Legacy on Feb. 9, 2024.
FORT WORTH - Stephen Wayne Savage, 55, a vet of 20 years, returned to the Lord January 24, 2024, after his courageous battle with brain cancer.
Memorial: 2:30 p.m. Saturday, February 10, 2024 in Live Oak Chapel at Greenwood, 3100 White Settlement Rd, Fort Worth, Texas 76107.
Stephen was born February 15, 1968, in Gulfort, Mississippi. His formative years were spent in Gulfort and upon graduation from La Porte High School; Stephen embarked on a remarkable journey of service as an aviation electrician with the United States Navy.
During this time, Steve became a proud father of two boys, Gunner and Christopher. Being a father was one of the highlights of Stephen's life. He loved spending time with his boys such as going to the gun range, attending rock concerts like Iron Maiden, and taking the boat out to Eagle Mountain and Possum King Lake. He loved the Saints and LSU football; and anyone could tell by all of the memorabilia around the house. Stephen was a family man and shared lots of fun memories with his loved ones; such as: his son Chris and daughter-in-law, Emma's wedding in Hawaii; various boat trips; crawfish boils with his brother and sister, Bo Savage and Lisa Allen. Steve loved and enjoyed his time with his chihuahua companions Paris and Dio.
Stephen loved his wife, Natalie, who cared for him unconditionally. Stephen and Natalie were each other's spark in an unconventional world. Stephen never wanted to get married again but, he saw something special in Natalie. What made their relationship work, was never going to bed mad and always communicating about everything. One of Natalie's favorite games was to play hide and seek with Stephen. When he would get home from work, he would join in the game of trying to find her. As silly as it was, this little game kept the spark strong and alive.
Stephen is survived by his beloved wife, Natalie; sons, Christopher and wife, Emma, Gunner and girlfriend, Carmen; sister, Lisa Allen; and brother, Bo Savage.

Wildwood subdivision- I needed a friend and he stepped up like a brother bear. We became very close prior to his move to Texas. Was so glad to reconnect on Facebook. I´m so sorry for your families lost and will miss him.

I knew Steve from middle school. He had such a bright personality! He was handsome, and kind-I am so happy to hear he had a loving family and a good life. He deserved it. Godspeed, my friend.

When you and your family moved into Wildwood Subdivision. Walking to the bus stop. Riding bikes around the neighborhood. Friendship. You were like a brother to me.
