Stephen Stewart, 73, of Ridgely, died Saturday, April 6, 2024 at Jackson Madison County General Hospital. Born September 13, 1950, he is the son of Estelle Tippit and the late R.C. Stewart. He attended Cottonwood Baptist Church and was a retired truck driver.
Memorial visitation will be Tuesday, April 9, 2024 from 2:00 p.m. – 3:00 p,m. with funeral services at 3:00 p.m. in the Ridgely Chapel of Curry Funeral Home officiated by Reverend Ronnie Turner.
He is survived by his wife, Anna Stewart; two sons, Shannon Wayne Stewart (Elizabeth) of Miston, Brian Lee Stewart (Connie) of Belden, MS; his mother, Estelle Tippit of Ridgely; one sister, Cathy Lynn Couch (Charles) of Ruston, LA; two brothers, James Lesley Stewart of Dyersburg, David Lee Stewart of Ridgely; three grandchildren, Raven Ann Stewart, Seth Wayne Stewart, Nathan Owen Stewart; and many aunts, nieces and nephews whom he adored.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his sister, Vicki Jean Stewart and his brother, William Paul Stewart.
Family requests memorials be directed to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, PO Box 50, Memphis, TN 38101.
