Stephen Wesley Vibbert, 78, of Louisville passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, July 24, 2025.

He was born on July 1, 1947 to the late Hazel Middleton Vibbert and Haulie Vibbert.

He was retired from General Electric, having worked for 35 years, working many different jobs, and was an Army veteran of the Vietnam War having been awarded a Purple Heart. His favorite conversations were about cars, Bigfoot and aliens. He loved animals, astronomy and metal detecting. He was a classic car enthusiast and collector; his favorite hobby was attending car cruises and he was the proud owner of a '68 Barracuda which was blue and a '92 Ford Mustang which was a red convertible.

Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his son, Robert Wesley Vibbert; brother, Michael Vibbert; and son-in-law, Chuck Nopper.

He is survived by his daughters, Denise Nopper and Amber Vibbert (Jeremy); sisters, Suzanne Brecht (Thomas), Jennifer Mundy (Ron), and Rebecca Estes (Larry); granddaughters, Jenna, Brinley and Katie Nopper; his favorite cat, Baby Kitty; many other loving family members and friends.

His visitation will be held from 4 p.m. – 8 p.m. on Wednesday, July 30, 2025 at Ratterman & Sons Funeral Home 3800 Bardstown Road. A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, July 31, 2025 at Pennsylvania Run Cemetery 8405 Pennsylvania Run Road.
