Steve Beugen, age of 76, passed away on October 12th, 2023. Preceded in death by his parents, Morris Bugenstein and Zelda Bugenstein Beto (Leviton). Survived by wife, Libby (Gall) Beugen; children, Miriam (Dao) Yang, Marshall (Allie) Beugen, Shelly Beugen; grandchildren, Aubrey Beugen, Max Beugen, Axel Beugen, Micah Beugen, Joua Yang; brother, Ross (Stephanie) Beugen; nieces, Cassie Beugen and Danielle Beugen.
Steve was a loving husband and father. He took care of his family until the very end. He was married to his wife Libby for 51 years. He always shared that it was love at first sight. He wanted her to be happy, above all claiming he was never good enough for her. They made an amazing team.
As a father, Steve was always there for his children. From setting up an ice skating rink in the backyard for his daughter's birthday, showing his son and his friends how to take apart and put together a 1972 Chevy truck, to adding a play house in the yard for his youngest daughter. Even if he couldn't afford it, he always created amazing experiences for them.
Steve had a passion for restoring classic cars. He could be found at the Back to the 50's Weekend every year as a participant with his 1955 Ford pick up or his 1958 Pontiac Chieftain.
He was also a huge fan of the Minnesota Vikings. If there was a Vikings game on, he was watching it and everyone knew how the game was going based on the cheers or jeers coming from wherever he was. When he wasn't watching the Vikings, he made it a point to go cheer on his grandsons at their football games.
One of Steve's missions in life was to spread positive energy. He made friends and built relationships wherever he went. From the hospital staff who took care of him to the cashiers at the gas station where he got his morning coffee. He was even a father figure to many of his younger friends, neighbors, and friends of his children. He made a positive impact on everyone he met.
His energy and influence will carry on in the hearts of his family, friends and all who knew him.
Memorial service 10:00 am, SUNDAY, October 29th, HODROFF-EPSTEIN MEMORIAL CHAPEL, 126 E. Franklin Ave., Minneapolis

My condolences on your loss. I am a long lost cousin, Doug Leviton. His mother was my dad´s sister. I knew Steve growing up and spending time together at our grandmother´s place. They lived in the bottom duplex and we would go down stairs in the basement and play.
