Steve Elden Cizmar
October 13, 1950 – July 13, 2025
Steve Elden Cizmar, age 74, of Westminster, South Carolina, husband of Sandra K. Cizmar, passed away on July 13, 2025, at Cottingham Hospice House, surrounded by his loving family.
Born on October 13, 1950, in Monroe, Michigan, he was the son of the late Steve and Janet C. Sagesser Cizmar. Steve retired from UPS after a dedicated career. He was a proud Teamster for over 15 years and a member of the AFL-CIO (Michigan Gas Utilities) for ten years, always standing for the rights and dignity of working people. Steve was a proud captain of the football team at Airport High School in Carleton, Michigan, earning a varsity spot as early as 9th grade. He had a deep love for the outdoors, spending cherished time boating in Florida, camping, and Jeeping. Later in life, his greatest joy came from spending time with his grandchildren, sharing stories and laughter. Steve was also a member of the Englewood Jaycees, where he built lifelong friendships and gave back to the community.
He is survived by his wife, Sandra K. (Smallwood) Cizmar; his son, Steve Patrick Cizmar of Westminster, South Carolina; and his daughter, Tammy Lyn Josten (Ken) of Englewood, Florida. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Amber Lyn Molle (Derek), Steve Nicholas Cizmar, Olivia Marie Cizmar, Raquel Laskowski; and great-grandson, Colton Molle.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Sanford Cizmar.
Per Steve's wishes, no service will be held at this time.
The family is at their respective homes. In lieu of flowers, memorials in Steve's memory may be made to Prisma Health Cottingham Hospice House, Attn: Foundation Office, 298 Memorial Drive, Seneca, SC 29672. Condolences may be expressed online by visiting www.sandiferfuneralhome.com.
