Jeannette Christina Cizmar, 76, of Jefferson City, passed away on Friday, December 15, 2023. She was born on September 30, 1947 in Cleveland, Ohio, daughter of the late Thomas and Ruth (Braun) Carlo. She married Christopher Cizmar in Cleveland, Ohio on February 6, 1973.
She was a 1965 graduate from Ravena High School in Ravenna, Ohio. She received her nursing degrees from Park College and Columbia College. She worked in Home Health, North Coast Behavioral Health System in Macedonia, Ohio, before moving to Missouri and retiring from the Fulton State Hospital.
Jeannette enjoyed nursing, bingo, minions, lunch at the Governor's Mansion, collecting coke and campbells items, black and white horror films. She was a member of the First Assembly of God Church since the 1970's. Most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family.
She is survived by her loving husband, Christopher Cizmar; sons, Herbert Tomlinson (Judy), Brian Tomlinson (Nichell); daughters, Natalie Timmerman (Terry), Britt Abella (Michael); five grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her sister, Dorothy Coleman; brother Franklin Smith.
Friends will be received on Wednesday, December 20, 2023 at Houser-Millard Funeral Directors from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m for a Visitation with a Memorial Service at 12:00 p.m. Interment will follow at Riverview Cemetery in Jefferson City.
In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made to the National Leukemia And Lymphoma Society.
