Steven "Steve" Harmon, born unto this world on April 4th, 1966, in the warm community of Morgantown, West Virginia, and called home to glory on April 10th, 2025, in the selfsame town, was a beacon of light in the lives of all who knew him. Steve walked in the footsteps of the Lord all his days, his faith as steadfast as the mountains that cradle Morgantown.
Steve leaves behind the love of his life, his wife Michelle Kilionski Harmon and their cherished daughter Bethany. His journey will continue to be honored by his mother, Joan Ann McCabe Harmon and parents-in-law, John and Ruthie Kilionski; brothers, Michael Harmon and Charles "Jamie" Harmon with his wife Delores; brother and sister-in-law, JJ and Morgan Kilionski; alongside a host of nieces and nephews, and numerous friends and family.
Steve was preceded in death by his father, Robert Wayne Harmon.
Professionally, Steve served West Virginia University with integrity as both an Information Technology Specialist and Accountant for 30 years.
A man shaped by unwavering faith and love, Steve harbored a passion for the timeless tales of John Wayne Westerns, and his spirit roamed free with the Dallas Cowboys, his team since the tender age of five. He found camaraderie and relaxation in the art of playing pool, often gracing the tables at Westover VFW and Classics in Sabraton; and riding his motorcycle where he felt free.
A good man, a loving family pillar, a faithful man of God – that was Steven Harmon. His legacy shall endure in the gentle ripples of every life he so tenderly touched.
Friends may gather on Saturday, April 12, 2025 from 1-3pm & 5-7pm at The River Church, 4234 Dents Run Blvd, Westover, WV. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, the family ask that donations be made to McCulla Funeral Home 770 Fairmont Road Morgantown, WV 26501, to offset expenses.
