Steve Hitsman Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by O'Guinn Family Funeral Homes - Clio Chapel on Apr. 7, 2025.
Hitsman, Steve – of Millington, age 64, passed away Sunday, April 6, 2025, at Covenant Healthcare of Saginaw. Funeral services will be held at 1PM on Wednesday, at O'Guinn Family Funeral Home in Clio. Cremation to follow. The family will receive visitors on Wednesday from 10AM until the time of service. Per the family, please dress casually, as that is what Steve would have wanted. Memorial contributions may be made to the family for future designations.
Steve was born August 3, 1960, in Saginaw, Michigan. Steve was a devoted husband to Tina Hitsman, whom he married on June 16, 1989. Together, they created a home filled with warmth, love, and the kind of happiness that fills a room. For over three decades, Steve passionately worked as a commercial roofer and was a dedicated member of Roofers Local 149. His craftsmanship and work ethic were respected by all who had the pleasure of working alongside him. When he wasn't on the roof, Steve enjoyed the simpler pleasures of life-mowing his lawn to perfection, fishing, and tending to his beloved pheasants. You could always find Steve at Millington sporting events, often seen standing under the goal post, cheering with enthusiasm and pride for his community. His infectious spirit and friendly demeanor made him a beloved figure in the neighborhood, where he was known for his visits filled with conversation and warmth. Steve's big heart and unwavering love for those around him will be deeply missed. As we say our goodbyes, let us remember Steve for the laughter he shared, the kindness he showed, and the love he so freely gave. May his memory forever live on in our hearts.
Surviving are: Wife of 36 years, Tina Hitsman; Father, Clarence Hitsman; Siblings: Susie Hitsman, Debbie Jewell, Kathy (Mark) Ross, Ricky Hitsman, Kim (Jim) Hoffman, Jason (Melinda) Hitsman; Many brother and sister in laws; He was blessed with several nieces and nephews and many good buddies. He is preceded in passing by his mother, Carol Hitsman and brother, Jeff Hitsman.
