Steve Kallay

Steve Alan Kallay, 65, of Washington, IL formerly of Crown Point, IN died on Sunday October 29, 2023 at OSF Richard L. Owens Hospice Home in Peoria, IL. He was born on July 17, 1958 Hammond, IN.
Steve, a fun loving and hardworking, son, father, papa and friend. He is survived by his wife, Teresa Kallay, son, Jason Schilling, daughter, Melissa (Jeremiah) Johnson; sons Darrell (Kyra) Austrew, and Shaine Wicks; grandaughters, Erin Schilling, Ella Schilling, Celeste Wicks, Eeva Johnson, grandsons Darrell Austrew, Wyatt Austrew, Jett Johnson, Jase Johnson. Also surviving are his mother, Rosalie Kallay, and one brother, Mark (Sally) Kallay. His father father, Stephan Kallay, one brother, Dan Kallay, and one sister, Lisa Schilling all preceded him in death.
He was a Crown Point, IN resident for 33 years, Actin, Inc. career, YMCA member, Southlake Christian Church, Steve loved life and lived it to the fullest making everyone around him feel loved and included. A favorite saying was, "Life is Good!."
A Celebration of Life, will be held on Saturday, February 3, 2024, at Great Oaks Banquets, Cedar Lake IN. Contact his family for further information.
