Steve Ketterman, 76, of Ludwick Road, Burlington, WV, died on Wednesday, August 6, 2025 at his residence while under the care of Hospice of the Panhandle.

Steve was born on July 30, 1949 in Fabius, WV to the late William Ray and Mattie (Wilson) Ketterman.

He was employed for most of his working career with Pilgrim's Pride in Moorefield, WV and its previous owners. He was Methodist by faith; was an avid gardener and outdoorsman and loved working and riding on his tractor.

Surviving is his loving and devoted wife of 34 years, Jean (Dolly) Ketterman; seven children, Rebecca Ketterman, Dwayne Ketterman, Stephen Shockey, Max High and wife Brenda of Lahmansville, WV, Danny High of Old Fields, WV, Becky Razmyslowski and husband Mike of Burlington and Barbara High of Burlington; seven grandchildren, Jessica Snyder and husband Matthew, Randy Sites and Andie, Kendall High, Logan Decker, Hannah Decker, Colton McLane and wife Ida and Cody McLane and wife Michelle and six great grandchildren, Renezamae, Kylyr, Maddilyn, Nakodta, Jasper and Elliott. Also surviving are four sisters, Sylvia Gorman of Leesburg, Virginia, Judy Hyre of Petersburg, WV, Deb Taylor of Purgitsville, WV and Viola Shipp and husband Carson of VA and four brothers, Doug Ketterman and wife Sharon of Petersburg, WV, Clyde Ketterman and wife Betty of Burlington, WV, Donald Ketterman and wife Debbie of Moorefield, WV, Jimmy Ketterman and wife Pat and Kenneth Nelson and wife Peg.

Friends will be received at the Smith Funeral Home, Burlington Chapel, on Friday, August 8, 2025 from 4-8 p.m.

A funeral service will be conducted at the Smith Funeral Home, Burlington Chapel, on Saturday, August 9, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Gwen Wolford and Pastor Denzil Davis officiating.

Interment will be in the Knobley Memorial Gardens, New Creek, WV.
