Steve Luck

It is with great admiration and affection that we announce the passing of Steve Luck, a beloved figure whose intelligence, generosity, and thoughtfulness touched the lives of all who knew him. Born on July 5, 1952 to the late Christine and Wally Luck, Steve's journey through life was one marked by an enduring curiosity and a passion for discovery, which came to a peaceful close on May 21, 2025. He was the loving brother of Tim (Diane) Nelson-Luck, Paula (James) LoBono, and Dennis (Patty) Luck. Dear uncle of Tiann and Tyler Nelson-Luck, Anthony (Tina) LoBono, and Nicole (Nick) Runnells and Brian Luck. And special great uncle of Chase.

Steve dedicated himself to the pursuit of knowledge and innovation, culminating in a respectable career that stemmed from his bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering. His sharp mind and meticulous nature made him a respected professional among his peers. But it was outside of the office where Steve truly shone, through his many interests and hobbies.

Music, in its diverse forms and rhythms, was among Steve's most cherished enjoyments. He found solace and joy in the melodies and harmonies that music offered. Steve's love for music thrived in harmony with his passion for hands-on creativity, notably in his beloved workshop, fondly known as his "Fortress of Solitude." It was within these walls that he tinkered and invented, crafting solutions to everyday problems with the same precision he applied in his career.

Yet, it was in Steve's garden where his soul truly found respite. There, amid the blooms and the greenery, he would spend countless hours nurturing the soil relishing in the simple pleasure of watching his plants grow. His garden was not just a refuge, but a source of pride and a testament to his dedication and patience. He was a very generous gardener and truly enjoyed sharing his harvest with family, friends, and neighbors.

For those fortunate enough to have crossed paths with him, Steve was the epitome of a life well-lived. His intelligence was never imposing but rather an invitation to learn; his generosity extended far beyond material means; and his thoughtfulness was a beacon that lit the way for others. Steve's legacy is not confined to the tangible achievements he accumulated over his years but is deeply etched in the hearts and minds of everyone who had the pleasure of knowing him.

As the sun sets on the life of Steve, it rises on the memories and lessons he imparted to us. The world is a brighter place for having been graced by his presence, and though his melody may have faded, the echoes of his impact will resonate for generations to come.

A memorial gathering will be held at Max A. Sass & Sons-Westwood Chapel (W173 S7629 Westwood Dr., Muskego) on Monday, June 9th starting at 4PM until time of the memorial service at 6PM.
