Steve Pahl, 66, of Green Bay, passed away Wednesday, December 7, 2022, after a courageous battle with cancer. His loving family was at his side. Steve was born January 31, 1956, to the late Vern and Janice (Becker) Pahl in Green Bay. He graduated in 1974, from De Pere High School. On June 22, 1985, he married the love of his life, Cindy Fink, in Green Bay. This union blessed their marriage with two sons, Adam and Ryan.
A successful restaurant career first began when Steve started as a dishwasher at a local De Pere restaurant, working his way up and learning the culinary craft from area eateries. He eventually became a restaurant manager, later owning his own restaurants. He went on to become the Vice President of Operations for Perkins Restaurants. His gift of cooking was shared daily through the meals he expertly prepared for his family and friends.
Steve enjoyed many hunting trips in Wisconsin, Montana, and Ohio with family and friends. He went on fishing trips to Canada every year, as well as Lake Erie, Lake Winnebago, the Fox River, and the Bay of Green Bay. He was in charge of making the meals for all of his trips, even the fishing lunches.
His passion for gardening could be seen in the care and maintenance of his beautifully landscaped lawn. After retirement, Steve was devoted to his church community, serving as the Head trustee and managing the building and grounds at Pilgrim Congregational Church. He was also the buildings and grounds manager for the church. Above all, Steve cherished the time he spent with his family. The generosity of his spirit will be greatly missed but will live on in the hearts of those whose lives he touched.
Steve is survived by his wife, Cindy Pahl; his sons, Adam (Sarah) and Ryan Pahl; stepmother, Suzanne Pahl; siblings: Sue (Bob) Prall, Sandra Birchfield, Brian Pahl, Chris (Michelle) Pahl; and Kelley (Chad) Ramos; brother-in-law, Ken (Wanda) Fink; sister-in-law, Mary Pahl; as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Steve was preceded in death by his parents; his mother and father-in-law, Fred and Theresa Fink; his brothers, James and Thomas Pahl, and his three infant siblings.
Family and friends may gather Monday, December 12, 2022, from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm at Cotter Funeral and Cremation Care, 860 N. Webster Ave. De Pere, WI. Visitation will continue Tuesday, December 13, 2022, from 9:30 am until the time of the funeral service at 11:00 am at Pilgrim Congregational Church, 991 Pilgrim Way, Green Bay, WI.
The family would like to thank the Bellin Cancer Team and Unity Hospice for the compassionate care Steve received.

Steve was the real deal. He was a great boss and a great friend to me throughout the past 35 years. He was the ideal mentor to many that worked for him or with him.I was fortunate to be one of those people. He earned respect from the people that came into his life. His passing is a tremendous loss for his family and all who knew him. He had a heart of gold and a spirit that was strong and positive up to the very end. I know I speak for many when I say he will be greatly missed by all. Jim Rahfaldt
