He was born on June 17, 1945 in Shelby, NC.
Steve Ramsey is left behind by his wife of 53 years, Orn; daughter, Melissa Caputo (Nick); son, Scott Ramsey (Lori); grandchildren, Christian Poole (Karla), Savanna Ramsey, Hunter Ramsey and Scarlett Everly Caputo; great-granddaughter, Olivia Grace Poole; nephew, Lewis Ramsey; and niece Duski Brann.
He successfully completed and retired after 21 years of service in the U.S. Air Force. He also served another 20 years of civil service.
A celebration of life will take place on Saturday, January 28, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. at Heritage Funeral Home, with Rev. Virgil Tillman officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
Steve will be laid to rest at Tallahassee National Cemetery in a private ceremony.
