Steve Walters Obituary
Steve played football at the University of Arkansas and went on to a distinguished coaching career, including 12 years in college football and 24 years as an NFL coach. He was an avid tennis player and lifelong sports enthusiast, but most proud of his family, especially his grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife, Susan Davenport Walters; his children, Kirk (Anne) Walters and Kasey (Jordan) Karnes; his grandchildren, Luke, Abby, Jake, Beau and Cooper; and his sister, Nancy Walters Stone, along with nieces and a nephew. He was preceded in death by his parents, Bob and Jean Dearien Walters.
A service of remembrance will be held Tuesday, January 20, at 2:00 PM at The Village Church, 4229 Pacetti Road, St. Augustine, Florida. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Village Church or The Michael J. Fox Foundation.
