Steven Abate Obituary
53, of Allegheny Twp. died Monday November 10, 2025 in his home. He was born in New Kensington on May 28, 1972 to Linda J. Steffan Harrison of Leechburg and the late David L. Abate and had been a resident of Allegheny Twp. for the majority of his life.
Mr. Abate worked as a project manager for BNY Mellon for 30 years until retiring in 2023. He was a member of the Toastmasters, BNY Mellon and enjoyed heavy metal concerts, WWII history, taking care of his animals, hunting and traveling.
In addition to his mother he is survived by his son Petty Officer 2nd Class Osric Abate, US Navy, three daughters Calliope, Cecilia Trinity, and Catrina Abate, and their mother Cletus Marie (Cibrone) Abate all of Pittsburgh, brother Anthony Abate of Washington DC., sister Leanne (David) Swickline of New Berne, NC., and stepmother Debra Abate of Lower Burrell.
Friends will be received Friday from 5 PM until time of memorial service at 7 PM by Rev. Dean Ward at THE RUSIEWICZ OF LOWER BURRELL FUNERAL HOME, 3124 Leechburg Rd. at Alder St. In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations made in his name to the National Rifle Association. www.nra.org www.RusiewiczFH.com
