Steven Anthony Acosta
08/25/1989-08/18/2025
On August 18, 2025 Steven was unexpectedly called home to our Lord. Steven is survived by his sons Brandon, Zachary, Dominic, and Mario Acosta. Parents Raymond and Veronica Acosta, sister Stacy Acosta, nieces Jessica Ortiz-Acosta (Pookie bear) and Nicole Ley and husband Brandon. Grandfather Henry Acosta and Steven’s fiancé Jackie Otero. Along with many aunts, uncles and cousins.
Steven is preceded in death by grandmothers Louisa Acosta and Leonila Gurule. Great grandparents Luis and Louisa Acosta, uncle Danny Sanchez, great aunt Isabel Apodaca (Nana) and great uncle Florio Apodaca (Tito).
Steven was passionate about music and the great outdoors, especially elk hunting with his dad (Raymond), uncle David Urban and his cousin/brother Joshua Urban. Steven loved food and was an adventurous eater, he loved barbecuing with his family and friends. Steven loved with his whole heart and was all about family. He loved making people laugh with his ridiculous jokes and animated personality. He loved to pester and prank his sister Stacy and niece Jessica. Though a grown man Steven was a mamas boy and will forever hold that title.
Steven will be greatly missed by all those who loved and cared for him.
The Acosta family would like to extend a huge thank you to everyone who prayed for us and who contributed to the funeral expenses. We are forever grateful. Pallbearers will be Joshua Urban, Jerick Urban, Rusty Carter, David Torrez, Ismael Aldaba, and Aaron Snyder.
Honorary pallbearers will be Dominic Acosta, Mario Acosta, Lorenzo Acosta, and Gabriel Rinaldi Nicole Ley.
Join us for a rosary and small service at Trujillo Family Funeral Home chapel on Friday, August 29th, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM. Interment will follow at Algodones Cemetery. Your presence is appreciated.
