Steven J. Adamonis, 67, of Fort Wayne, died Monday, November 11, 2024, at home. Steve was born August 12, 1957, the son of the late Charles and Phyllis Adamonis (Brand). He graduated from Bishop Luers High School in 1975. He is survived by two sisters, Jane (Bruce) Ashe and Nancy (Tom) Merryman, one niece, Sarah Ashe, four nephews, Matthew Merryman, Joseph Merryman, Michael Merryman, Christopher (Belli) Ashe and four great-nephews, Vincent Merryman, Sebastian Merryman, Gideon Ashe and Josiah Ashe.
Steve retired from B.F. Goodrich after 15 years. Throughout his career, he worked at Lewis Bakery, Lutheran Hospital, Edy's Ice Cream, Trinadad Logistics and K-mart Distribution Center. He enjoyed golfing, chess, being with family and friends, telling stories and reminiscing around his backyard bonfires.
Visitation will be from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 17, 2024, at Divine Mercy Funeral Home, 3500 Lake Ave., Fort Wayne. On Monday, November 18, the visitation is from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. with a Prayer Service starting at 11:00 a.m. Internment will take place at the Catholic Cemetery following the Prayer Service.
