Steven Arlen Adams

A Legacy of Love West Jordan, Utah - Steven Arlen Adams, born September 7, 1956 passed away peacefully, in his home, surrounded by his loving wife and family on August 18th, 2025 at the age of 68. Steve was born in North Bend, Oregon to Carol Jones and Junior Adams and was the oldest of 7 children. He had fond memories of his childhood, spending time exploring near the ocean and was a race car enthusiast from the very beginning. As a young adult, Steve served in the US Armed Services and was honorably discharged in 1974. Steve was always friendly and kind throughout his life, making lifelong friendships. He had two wives and two children, prior to marrying his soulmate and wife, Kathy Torres in 1991, who also had two children. Steve was a devoted husband, and a loving family man and his children and grandchildren meant the world to him. He enjoyed spending time with his wife and the two of them had all kinds of adventures, four wheeling in the mountains of Utah and going on scenic drives together. Steve could do anything and fix everything. A true jack of all trades, Steve was the one everyone turned to when something needed fixing, building, or inventing - he could always find a way. He always had just what was needed and when he gave his kids a tool or piece of equipment, it was rebuilt to last a lifetime. Steve also enjoyed body-building and was always active throughout his life. Steve was fun, and sweet, and his jokes and humor was the kind the whole family could enjoy. He was always good to tell a fun story about the amazing thing that would happen if "you did this", or what would happen if "you did that", which the children really enjoyed. Steve lived with a gentle spirit, never known to speak an unkind word or act in anger. Steve is survived by his Mother, Carol Jones, his Wife, Kathy Adams, siblings David (Vicki) Adams, Cindy Adams, Vernon Adams, Derrall Adams, Marty Adams, children Laura Sumare, Stephanie Alvarado, Jennifer (Tony) Torres and Daniel (Connie) Torres and many nieces, nephews and grandchildren. He was proceeded in death by his father, Junior Adams and his brother, Stewart Adams. A celebration of life will be held on Steve's birthday, Sunday, September 7th at his home.
