Steven “Eric” Adams, born March 2, 1972, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, was the son of Keith and Sue Adams, who preceded him in death. Eric passed away on December 12, 2025, in Edmond, Oklahoma, at the age of 53, from complications of dementia (FTD).

Eric graduated from Northeast High School and later from the University of Central Oklahoma. He was known for his unique personality, sharp wit, and unmistakable sense of humor. Eric loved music and found joy in creating art, expressing himself in ways that reflected his creativity and heart. He had a gift for making people laugh easily and often, and those moments will be remembered and treasured.

Eric is survived by his beloved partner of 26 years, Amber Posey; his children, Kristopher and Sarah, and Sarah’s husband, Dillon; and his grandchildren, Hayden, Kloie, Axel, Maddox, and Landon. He is also survived by Amber’s aunt, Nita, and her cousins, who were an important part of Eric’s extended family.

He is also survived by his brother, Gregg; his uncle, Kenny; and his cousins, Randal and Kelly. Eric kept a small circle, and his loyalty ran deep. He is additionally survived by his best friend, Shawn Garza, who was like a brother to him and remained a constant source of care and friendship throughout Eric’s life, as well as many friends whose lives he touched and who will miss him deeply.

Eric was also preceded in death by Gladys Posey, Charlene Posey, and Mickey Kreidler, who welcomed Eric into their family and loved him as their own.

Eric will be remembered for his humor, his creativity, his love of music, and the genuine way he showed up for the people he loved. His presence will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.
