Funeral Services for Steven Wayne "Steve" Bryant, 82, of Butler will be Friday, December 20, 2024, at 2:00 P.M. from the Chapel of Bumpers Funeral Home with Rev. Tommy Campbell officiating. Burial with Military Honors will follow at the Morgan Chapel Cemetery. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.
Steven Wayne "Steve" Bryant passed away on Monday, December 16, 2024, at Anderson Regional Medical Center in Meridian. He was born on May 26, 1942, in Aliceville, AL, to Millburn Lavern and Minnie Dee McCray Bryant. Steve was a U.S. Navy Veteran. He dedicated his professional life to BNSR Railroad, where he worked in the Bridge Department until his retirement. He was a long-time member of Morgan Chapel Baptist Church, serving as a deacon for many years. A devoted husband and father, his presence will be deeply missed.
He is survived by his only son, Mickey Bryant; sister, Maxine Bryant; sister, Annette Wilburn; and great goddaughter, Rae Tyson Napp and husband Noah.
He is preceded in death by his loving wife, Betty Linder Bryant; father, Millburn Lavern Bryant; mother, Minnie Dee McCray Bryant Waldrop; daughter, Mandy Louise Bryant; and brother, Milburn Lavern Bryant, Jr.
Pallbearers include Derek Combs, Noah Napp, Kevin Nelson, Turk Phillips, Fred Lee, and Tommy Campbell.
Honorary Pallbearers include BNSR Bridge Department and the Morgan Chapel Baptist Church Deacons.
