Graveside funeral services for Steven Robert Cady, age 77, will be held at 12:00 P.M. Saturday, July 12, 2025, in Bethany Baptist Church Cemetery in Cochran, Georgia. Rev. Wes Pinkley will officiate.
Mr. Cady was born on November 22, 1947, in Battle Creek, Michigan to Robert M. Cady and Laura B. Cady. He attended Kellogg Community College and graduated as a Public Safety Officer. He was a retired after 30 years from the Kellogg Company and was employed as a police officer and fire fighter for Emmett Township Department of Public Safety. He was a resident of Laurens County for 19 years and was a member of the Masonic Laurens Lodge # 75 in Dublin and was a past Worshipful Master #12. He enjoyed policing, firefighting, his family and grandchildren, his farm, his beefalo and draft horses, reading, the Masonic Lodge and NASCAR. Mr. Cady passed away on Wednesday, July 9, 2025, at his residence.
He is survived by his wife, Patricia Cady; a son, Steven R. Cady, Jr. (Desiree); grandchildren, Ayden Cady, Audrey Cady, Averi Cady, Bentley Cady (Blade), Ella Cady, William Cady, Zach Goltz, Devon Goltz, and Cameron Goltz; his sisters Jean Cady Ruthruff (Gordon) and Barbara Cady Clissold (Michael); and nieces Elizabeth Ruthruff Spires (Roger), Ashley White, Karlene White Sulser (Zach) and Jennifer Ruthruff Jones.
The family will receive friends from 10:00 A.M. to 10:45 A.M. on Saturday, July 12, 2025, at Stanley Funeral Home and Crematory/Dublin Chapel.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Poplar Springs North Baptist Church Women on Mission Youth Ministry.
