Steven T. Carter SR.

CARTER, Steven T., 68, of Braintree, formerly of South Boston, passed away suddenly on June 2, 2025. He was the devoted husband of Janice Carter (Manning), with whom he shared 43 years of marriage.
Loving father of Steven T. Carter Jr. and his fiancée Ashley Howard of Weymouth, and Colleen Carter and her partner Corey Martin of Weymouth.
Steve loved spending time with his wife and his family. He especially loved summers on his boat at the Wessagussett Yacht Club in Weymouth. He also loved fishing, golfing, and gardening. He was a proud, lifetime member of the Painters Union D.C. #35 of Boston for over 30 years.
He was the son of the late Theresa Carter (Ferri) and James J. Carter of Braintree. He was the brother of the late James Carter and his wife Terry of New Hampshire and the late Timothy Carter of South Boston.
He is survived by his brother Paul and his wife Jean of South Boston; his brother Michael of Braintree; his brother Richard and his wife Susan of Quincy; his sister Terry Smith and her husband Danny of Quincy; and his sister Joanne Carr and her husband Peter of Braintree.
Also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, relatives, and dear friends.
A wake will be held on Tuesday, June 10, 2025, from 3:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. at Casper Funeral & Cremation Services, 187 Dorchester Street, Boston, MA 02127. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
