Steven Engelhart Obituary

Steve was born on February 16, 1953 in Watertown to Bernard and Ruth (Fisher) Engelhart. He worked at Wollin-Mills in Portage, and retired from Tyson Foods in Jefferson on March 13, 2015. On February 27, 2010, Steve married Rose (Hale), his childhood sweetheart.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping as well as taking trips to Branson, gambling and bingo. He loved taking trips up north with Rose to visit friends. Steve enjoyed visits with kids and grandchildren and always had a smile on his face.
Steve is survived by his wife, Rose Engelhart; children, Steven Engelhart Jr. (Jodie), Jennifer (Kreg) Perkins; step-children, Timothy (Samantha) Sosnovske, Jennifer (Aaron) Rebman; grandchildren, Gage Perkins, Keyara Perkins, Lauryn Engelhart, Cole Engelhart; step-grandchildren, Connor Sosnovske, Dominique Sosnovske, Destiney Sosnovske, Sophia Sosnovske, Keely Sosnovske, Emma Rebman, Ameilia Rebman, Cole Rebman; siblings James (Vicki) Engelhart, David Engelhart, Michael (Dawn) Engelhart, Craig (Angel) Engelhart and Brenda Engelhart. He is further survived by Rose's family and many nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Bernard and Ruth Engelhart; sisters, Barbara Schuett, Bonnie Buchanan and infant, Cindy Engelhart; brother Richard Engelhart and sister-in-law Donna Mach.
A memorial service will take place at 12:00 PM on Sunday, August 10, 2025 at Schneider-Michaelis Funeral Home, 900 West Racine Street, Jefferson, WI. Visitation will be held from 10:00 AM until time of service.
The family would like to give special thanks to the UW Hospital's oncology team; oncologist Dr. Kratz, Jenna Wilke, PA and nurse Angie and to Dr. Tackman and staff at Internal Medicine. Special thanks to Rainbow Community Care for the compassion shown toward Steve.
Donations in Steve's name can be made to the family so they can distribute to various charities.
Steve will be remembered as a very quiet kind of guy, never complaining and never asking for anything.
Schneider-Michaelis Funeral Home is serving the family.
